This article peddle’s zionist talking points and is premised on so many gross genralizations, half-truths, lies, subterfuge, distortion of history, and context that it is not worthwhile to expose each of these. No doubt many Muslims states and their elites pay little more than lip service to the Palestinian cause and there is much evidence of their anti-semitism and hypocrisy across political and social issues, but to use this as grounds to gloss over the brutal occupation and dehumanization of and crimes against Palestinian people over five decades by the Israeli state appears to be a sad attempt at gaining approvals of powerful forces or maybe just a ticket out of Pakistan. History is replete with people of colour from marginalised and oppressed groups benefiting handsomely for their service to power.

Read the Quran 17:1. Clearly the ‘farthest mosque’ – where the signs of Allah can be seen – lies in heaven, not Jerusalem.

The Muslims have Mecca, Mohamed’s birthplace, and. Medina, where Mohamed lies after death, where no infidels are allowed. Isn’t that enough? There is no Quranic basis for claiming Jerusalem. There was no mosque in Jerusalem until after the Imperial Muslim siege on Jerusalem some five years AFTER Mohamed died.

Muslims ought to be happy with Mecca and Medina and just let the Jews and Christians share Jerusalem.

This is the best analysis I have read so far. However, I would like to add to it from a different, more simplistic perspective, because the solution does not have to be as complex as the cause. It will require an absolute rejection of any religious ideology, historic or otherwise. Any two state solution cannot last if both states both live in a self- maintained la la land that suits them, but no one who lives in the real world. You can’t argue with the terminally deluded. They are not open to compromise or able to see from the perspective of another. Any solution must first refuse to accept any religious input. God by whatever name, does not exist outside the human brain that invented it for the remote control over the thoughts, speech and behaviour of others. Start there.
